My life at GDPT
At a young age of five, I had already begun to attend the temple of GDPT. Although my experiences there have not always been pleasant, in the end they turned out pretty good. My very first impression of it was that I didn’t like attending, not at all. I hated waking up so early on a Sunday morning just to attend some temple and begin praying, then learn complicated words in Vietnamese. No matter how many times I protested, my parents continuously forced me to go. After awhile, I began to like going there, and I went by my own choice. The main reason I began liking it was not because it, itself was fun or interesting, but because my friends who stood beside me in my times of need made it fun and interesting. If they had not been there, I doubt I would be sitting here writing this out today for you to read. There were also many memorable experiences there, such as the time when I fell into the pond. Overall, I’m truly glad that I have attended GDPT because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have met all my great friends and created such wonderful moments. In a way, GDPT is now one of the few places I find serenity in.
